1. EXERCISES FOR DIABETES

  • Diabetes is a disease in which your sugar level increases beyond the normal bounds   
  • The normal level of glucose in your body is 



  • The normal range of Fasting is 80-100
  • After eating normally range is 170-200
  • After 3 hours  normal range is 120-140
  • If you are diabetic then these values go beyond the normal scope
  • To prevent your sugar level under control follows these workouts

  • Walking 
  • Weight lifting/strengthening exercises 
  • Swimming
  • Pilate’s exercises

  • Walking Exercise for diabetes

  • Walking is the best exercise which you can embrace
  • The best part about walking is you don't need a gym; you don't have to cast off your money
  • The solitary thing you need is good shoes; it will prevent damage to your ankle and fingers
  • Walking has amazing results on your body
  • It will lower down your body mass index
  • Those who walk regularly have fewer prospects to get type 2 diabetes
  • To prevent the raising of sugar level in your body
  • Walk every day for 25-30 minutes it will improve your blood glucose level
  • Walking will help your muscles to absorb sugar, which in turn decreases blood sugar level body
  • Drink plenty of water before half an hour of your walking session
  • While walking keeps glucose tablets or water or little chocolate with you, all these things will assist you,  if you notice any symptoms of hypoglycemia
  • If you are suffering from muscle pain or cramps skip all exercises for one day, let your  muscles relax
  • Resistance exercise for diabetes
  • It is a type of strengthening exercise 
  • It will develop your muscles and will uphold the strength of your muscles  
  • These weight lifting exercises will prevent the wage 
  • You should practice these exercises twice a week, but if you are suffering from heart diseases or osteoporosis, please avoid these exercises
  • Initially do 5-10 repetitions, then after 15 days gradually increase the repetition to 8 - 15
  • Get down with resistance bands or low weight dumbbells  
  • When you are able to make out with lightweight dumbbells switch to more weight  
  • Some of the exercises are 
  •  Biceps curl exercise for diabetes 
  •  Hold the dumbbells in your workforce, squeeze your biceps and lift the weight do this exercise slowly, gradually lower down the weight and repeat it for 5- 10 times
  • Triceps exercise for diabetes 
  •  Keep back the dumbbell with both hands, from behind the back move the dumbbell towards the ceiling  
  • Shoulder press exercise for diabetes
  •  You can accompany this exercise while sitting, lying, kneeling or standing
  • Bend your elbows at 90
  • Hold the dumbbell in your both hands push the weight up and accommodate this position  
  • Crunches exercise for diabetes 
  • Lie on the floor and flex your knees  
  • Place your hands behind your head for support 
  • By curling your bodies move your head and hand towards the knee
  • Move back slowly and repeat this exercise for 5- 10 times
  • After executing this exercise for 8 days do this exercise with the dumbbell
  • Plank  exercise for diabetes 
  • Lie in a prone position, put your elbows directly below the shoulder, tighten your core and lift your body above the ground
  • Avoid lifting your hips; your physical structure should remain parallel to the ground  
  • Retain this position eventually for 15 seconds, and then gradually increase the time  
  • Lunges exercise for diabetes
  • While standing, bend your one leg, that leg should stay parallel to the ground  
  • To draw it more challenging hold the dumbbell in your hands  
  • Maintain this position for 15 seconds and repeat it alternatively for 5- 10 times each

  • If you have untreated retinopathy, then don't follow the above exercises as it can increase your blood flow in eyes and can damage your retina even more 
  • Retinopathy is a disease in which retina gets damaged and it may cause vision impairment 
  • If your nerves in the feet are damaged, then execute these exercises while sitting or lying  
  • If you are a heart patient then don't stick to these exercises vigorously  
  • Pilates exercise for diabetes

  • Pilates is a form of strengthening exercises it mostly centers on the core region  
  • It concentrates on posture, coordination, and balance  
  • Those patients who are suffering from type 2 diabetes should follow the Pilates workout routine as it is very safe 
  • Major advantages of Pilates are they did not affect the joints so the diabetic patient can exercise it with ease, in diabetes, healing process decreases, so you can follow Pilates exercise as it will not cause wear and tear of joints

  • Patients having uncontrolled blood pressure, herniated disc or severe osteoporosis should not come after this
  • Swimming exercise for diabetes
  •  Swimming is considered as aerobic exercises, but water provides assistance when you act in the same direction of water then it is termed as assisted exercise and when you move opposite to the flow of water it provides resistance so swimming maintains your muscle strength and it also produces high power results  
  • Swimming stretches your muscle, it prevents joint load 
  • It cuts calories and will help you lose weight, it also dissolves bad cholesterol and stress level

  • If you have symptoms of hypoglycemia, then avert it, if you have  open wounds then avoid it as it can cause infection
